×Details

Maenporth Beach is classed as Falmouth’s most remote beach, during the summer it can still get quite busy.

Local features:

  • Public toilets
  • Cafe
  • Large car park
  • No on road parking
  • No Lifeguards

The diving:

  • High water highly recommended
  • No current
  • Less than 6m
  • Reef
  • Wreck

The north side of Maenporth Beach has a nice reef once you get out to it, it is a bit of a swim. Once there, there is the wreck of the Ben Asdale. Close to the wreck, there is a small cave that seals have been known to frequent. The south side has some interesting swim throughs and gullies, although they are a long swim from the entry point. The beach shelves off very slowly and a maximum depth of around 6m can be achieved at high water.
